San Francisco Bay Area Chapter #31 

We are about to embark on a new and exciting program year. To start us off at our September 20th meeting we are fortunate to have a demonstration by award winning Professor Joseph Lam of the Ikenobo school. Joseph, a Bay area resident embarked on his Ikebana journey in the 1990s with the help of Mr. and Mrs. Saiki. They taught at the college of Marin where Joseph 1st encountered them. After a hiatus from his study he began in earnest to pursue the art of Ikenobo ikebana and went on to win the Nozomi Sho award at the Ikenobo Tanabata competition in 2011. The rest is history.

Professor Lam will delight you with his beautiful arrangements and in depth explanations regarding the philosophy and techniques behind them. Please join us for this very special treat.

There will be lots to see and enjoy as we will also have side arrangements from all our member schools.
